Big Tent: 8 December 2011
Join us on 8 december for a one-off opportunity to debate some of the big issues
facing the Internet today:
- How do we ensure that freedom of expression online is guaranteed?
- What is the role of business in keeping the internet open?
- Are there lessons to be learned from the experiences of bloggers and online activists?
Joris Luyendijk will moderate the panel discussions this day, and we are excited to be announcing Google's Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt as keynote speaker.
Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal will be opening the Freedom Online Conference at our Big Tent Event, followed by a
keynote speech by United States Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton.
The Freedom Online Conference is a two-day event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate a global dialogue on the responsibilities of governments from around the world.
